Tighter parking restrictions to operate in Cardiff

Tougher parking restrictions are to be put in place throughout the city now the council is taking over responsibility for enforcing them.

traffic wardens will operate for longer hours and civil parking enforcement teams will be highly mobile.

According tho Cardiff Council, this is so “trouble spots can be reported to the Council, prioritised, and dealt with anywhere in the city, seven days a week”.

The scheme will be officially launched next Monday by Cardiff Council Leader Rodney Berman, Executive Member for Transport Cllr Delme Bowen and two new civil parking enforcement officers.

Speaking of the proposed changes, Cllr Bowen said: ”This is a much more dynamic approach to problem parking, which aims to make Cardiff safer, less congested and easier to use for residents, shoppers and traders”.
