Hubble’s Got Talent

OUT OF THIS WORLD: Google's Hubble anniversary logo

Ground control, Google has an out of this world icon commemorating the 20th anniversary of the Hubble telescope’s launch today.

Its discoveries have shaped our understanding of the cosmos and this extraordinary picture gallery showcases the telescope’s findings.

Hubble has been trending throughout the day and another trend soon to grace the Twitter-verse is #BGT in homage to Britain’s Got Talent.

Both the Hubble and Britain’s Got Talent are similar as they both aim to source stars and give us mere mortals enough information to understand what they are and where they have come from.

They both give images that are truly weird, awesome and sometimes frightening and they even give us a behind-the-scenes glimpse into another life.

If last Saturday’s discoveries, such as Kevin Cruise are anything to go by, #Tweet_Cardiff is taking the scientific approach and predicting tonight’s starry-eyed bunch will be from a galaxy far, far away.

Take one giant step for TV-mankind, ITV. Take off the hoaxers and leave us with the genuine stars (aka Kevin Cruise).

If last Saturday’s discoveries, such as Kevin Cruise are anything to go by, #Tweet_Cardiff is taking the scientific approach and predicting tonight’s starry-eyed bunch will be from a galaxy far, far away.
