Uncharitable Asda forced to apologise for charity money blunder

Asda have been rapped for charging two charity fund-raisers £100 each to make collections in store.

The supermarket chain’s Pontprennau branch asked Christian Aid and a school raising funds for an expedition to Africa for the fee to raise funds inside.

“Stores like this always talk about playing a role in the community – but then they want to take the money out of the children’s pockets,” said one parent.
