Murder enquiry launched following death of 37-year-old

Police officers are taking stance at a crime scene in Merthyr Tydfil following the murder of a 37 year old man.

The victim is yet to be named and his body was discovered at a property in Cae’r Wern just before 8pm last night.

South Wales Police have set up an incident room at Mountain Ash Station whilst door-to-door enquiries and a full forensic examination of the house are taking place in the cordened off area.

UPDATE: It is understood that the body has been identified as Ceri O’Sullivan and he was stabbed.

Police are still searching for the attacker.
