Cardiff’s in sight for Captain Jack

Calling all Barrowman fans: Captain Jack is set to come to Cardiff later this year as part of his arena tour showcasing his hits

Tickets for the October 16th show at Cardiff International Arena go on sale this Friday at 10am and expect them to sell out quick as musical lovers and Captain Jack fans alike scramble to be in the audience.

BARROWMAN: Captain Jack-of-all-trades

Barrowman, who plays Captain Jack Harkness in BBC’s hit series ‘Doctor Who’ and in the spin-off series ‘Torchwood’, has also launched his third album this week, the self-titled ‘John Barrowman’.

He is also known for his West End appearances and the album has been made to acknowledge this as songs made famous by the musicals Cats, Mamma Mia and Jersey Boys fill the album.

A spokesperson for Barrowman said: “The album is filled with instantly familiar classics – Memory, The Winner Takes It All and My Eyes Adored You”.

The album is filled with tunes that have a personal relevance to the entertainer and he recorded a duet with Jodie Prenger, who won ‘I’d Do Anything’- a TV talent show judged by Barrowman.

His spokesperson confirmed the duet saying: “So Close, a spine-tingling duet with Jodie Prenger lifted from the recent Disney movie Enchanted and chosen for his niece Clare.”

They also added: “Also included is a beautiful version of You’ll Never Walk Alone from Carousel, a song which his mother sang to him as a child. Every track holds an emotional relevance for John.

Snap up those tickets to catch John Barrowman singing some of these songs live in concert and until then, look out for pictures of him on the set of US drama, Desperate Housewives, which he’s recently confirmed he’s due to start filming.
